This is the Official Patriotic Front (PF), Zambia's ruling party, and the country's largest political organisation
The PF is dedicated to the uplifting of the living standards and conditions of the Zambian people through implementing policies that promote equal opportunities, sustainable development and good governance
Founded by His Excellency the late 5th Republic President Michael Chilufya Sata as a breakaway party of the Movement for Multiparty Democracy in 2001 after the then President Frederick Chiluba nominated Levy Mwanawasa as its presidential candidate for 2001 elections. After several years, the PF finally gained power in the 2011 general elections.
