About Us
The Patriotic Front National Youth League was founded in 2011 as an organization of the youth committed to the ideals of democracy, development, freedom and peace. It is governed by and adheres to the policies and programs of the PF, and its existence derives from the constitution of the PF. The National Youth League is a mass youth formation of the PF; it is committed to the creation of a united, non-sexist, democratic and prosperous Zambia. It shall rally all the youth of our country to play an active part in building our communities and our country. In doing so, the PF Youth League shall strive to achieve fundamental social change for the benefit of all young people and the working class. It shall endeavor to unite the youth of our country so as to take their rightful place in the affairs of the country. The PF National Youth League has over the years organized young people to play a critical role in national development and will continue to do so in the following ways; Promote the economic participation of the youth in national development through employment creation and entrepreneurship development; Increase access to quality and equitable education and skills development relevant to the aspirations of the youth and society; Improve the health and general well-being of the adolescents and youth in order to enhance their productivity and contribution to national development; Promote youth participation in creative industries (art, culture and recreation) as a major source of livelihood; Mainstream youth issues in all government and private sector institutions for effective youth responsive programming; Professionalize youth work practice in Zambia; and Integrate cross cutting issues into youth development.
